Architecture is continuously adapting to adjust to the context in which it operates, to respond and face the challenges of the present and the future with a global perspective. Climate change, the economy, politics, demography, culture or social drives impact on architecture, which becomes a means to read social, political and environmental dimensions of society.

This discipline is not an isolated area of knowledge, but something that mutates and evolves, that addresses the changing and emerging contexts in search of a fairer and more sustainable society.

Along these lines and in the context of the investigations of the Architectural Logics for Emergent Contexts (ALEC), La Salle Barcelona - Universitat Ramon Llull is hosting a seminar that will give a voice to agents of architectural culture, researchers, professors and curators of international impact. Focusing on the cultural dimension of architecture, the conference aims to open a dialogue on how architecture, understood in its broadest sense, can contribute to the configuration of spaces that reflect, question and communicate cultural values, social and political of our time.

The event is part of the Architecture Weeks of Ajuntament de Barcelona and Fundació Mies van der Rohe and can be followed online.
