Why study this degree?

As a graduate in Electronic Engineering in Communications from La Salle, you will be officially qualified and certified to work as an Electronic Telecommunications Technical Engineer, and you will be able to pursue a career in one of the most attractive, strategic economic sectors due to the fantastic growth there.

You will have the opportunity to take a minor in Robotics and specialise in an important trend of the future, studying a specific syllabus worth 30 ECTS. You will specialise and be prepared to work in the world of robotics as applied to a wide range of sectors, including social, educational, therapeutic and healthcare robotics.

The first year is common to all La Salle ICT engineering programmes, and if you are not happy with the specific ICT engineering you choose, you can change without losing any credits. You will also be able to take subjects from other engineering programmes that may be of interest to you.

 

You can choose from a wide range of different optional modules throughout the degree. With subjects such as: artificial intelligence, network management and planning, 3D design, web projects, computer architecture, multimedia and video game production, advanced programming and data structure, you can adapt the degree to suit your specific interests and specialise in the one you like best.

You will learn to work with various robotic platforms such as: Romibo, Pleo, Bioloid, Reem (PALO), Lego. The first year we will provide you with your own LS Maker, a robot that you can experiment with from day one.

You will have the experience of studying at the first school to teach the Electronic Systems specialisation in Catalonia, with access to more than 30 tech labs at your disposal.

You can also opt for a double degree in electronic engineering in communications and engineering in ICT management for just one more year’s study.

You will carry out projects and go on placements at leading companies in the sector, and you will be able to take part in exchange programmes with leading international universities in electronics and robotics.

This degree will provide you with a firm grasp on knowledge and technologies in digital and analogue electronics, microprocessors, electrotechnics, control systems, domotics, instrumentation and telecommunications, with a special emphasis in the area of robotics
