The Course Four Perspectives on the Human Being aims to engage in profound reflection on the state of being human in today's world. This exploration is guided by the anthropological viewpoints of four of the most prominent contemporary philosophers: Søren Kierkegaard, Friedrich Nietzsche, Max Scheler, and Martin Heidegger.

Key works by these philosophers will assist students in reexamining crucial aspects of human existence, such as love, vocation, the place of humanity in the cosmos, anxiety, time, and death.

The diverse perspectives presented in the writings of these great thinkers open up new horizons for contemporary thought and stimulate discussions on pivotal questions that are more pressing than ever in the face of challenges like transhumanism and posthumanism: What is the essence of being human? What is our purpose in the world? Does life and human suffering have a meaning? Are love and hope possible?
